22 May Seminar Equity investing for the long-term
Seminar 22 May
On 22 May, Alpha Research organizes the seminar 'Equity investing for the long-term' in The Hotel, Brussels.
At this seminar Columbia Threadneedle Investments, Nordea Asset Management and Aegon Asset Management will address three themes which they believe will be important in 2030:
- Disruption: Andrew Harvie, Columbia Threadneedle Investments
- The Climate: Geoffrey Lebeau, Nordea Asset Management
- New leaders: Luc Simoncini, Aegon Asset Management
Many successful investors and entrepreneurs achieve their goals by thinking ahead 10 or 20 years to the future. Warren Buffet is an outspoken, steadfast advocate of long-term investing and Jeff Bezos once said, “I want to know what will be exactly the same 10 years from now, because that is how I can build a business.”
With that in mind, we must consider which long-term themes are relevant now and if they have longevity to be relevant in 2030. Does it pay to ‘buy and hold’ when observing specific themes? How can you make sound choices now which will be lucrative in the next decade?
Two specialists from the MN pension fund also discuss the theme 'stranded assets' and guest speaker Jan de Bondt gives his vision for the coming decade.
Alpha Research will also reveal the results of their survey on long-term investing; all attendees are encouraged to actively participate in a discussion on the research findings.
