Seminar Alpha Research Lower for longer

Op dinsdag 3 december organiseert Alpha Research een Seminar in Rosarium Amsterdam met het thema: Lower for Longer - De gevolgen van een langdurige lage rente.

Gastspreker Bob Homan, hoofd ING Investment Office, zal spreken over de ING Outlook van 2020 en er zijn presentaties van UBPT. Rowe PriceNatixis Investment Managers en State Street SPDR ETF's.

Obligaties maken een bull market mee, maar een stijging van de rente blijft uit. Veel strategen spraken begin van het jaar nog de verwachting uit dat de rente zou oplopen. Er is nu een duidelijke omslag merkbaar. Deze strategen houden er nu rekening mee dat de rente laag blijft. Sterker nog: meerdere zien de rente nog verder dalen naar negatieve waardes.

Bob Homan heeft Economie gestudeerd aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Als econoom begon hij zijn carrière bij de Postbank. Daarna werkte hij bij enkele vermogensbeheerders. Vanaf 1999 was hij werkzaam als directeur Beleggen bij Westland Utrecht Effectenbank.

Homan bekleedt sinds 2008 zijn huidige functie bij ING Bank. In deze functie is hij eindverantwoordelijk voor het beleggingsbeleid van ING Bank voor Nederlandse klanten. Onder zijn hoede worden visies en analyses gemaakt, modelportefeuilles beheerd, vermogensbeheer gedaan en wordt communicatie over beleggen verzorgd. In de media is hij hét gezicht als woordvoerder beleggen bij de ING Bank.

Thomas joined UBP in 2017 from Nordea Asset Management, where he was responsible for the launch of their hard currency EM Debt strategy.

Prior to that, he worked at BlackRock Financial Management for 10 years, most recently as a portfolio manager in their Emerging Markets Debt team. Before that, Thomas was a founding member of the BlackRock Investment Institute, where he worked as an investment strategist. In this role, he partly focused on sovereign credit risk, and contributed to the creation of the BlackRock Sovereign Risk Index.

Thomas is a Danish national and has a BSc in Economics, with honours, from New York University.

Michael Della Vedova is a global high yield portfolio manager in the Fixed Income Division at T. Rowe Price. Mr. Della Vedova is a portfolio manager of the European High Yield Strategy and co-portfolio manager for the firm's Global High Yield Strategy. He is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. and T. Rowe Price International Ltd.

Mr. Della Vedova has 26 years of investment experience, 10 of which have been with T. Rowe Price. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, he was a cofounder and partner of Four Quarter Capital, a credit hedge fund focusing on below investment-grade European corporate debt. Mr. Della Vedova also spent six years as a senior analyst and assistant portfolio manager with Muzinich & Company Limited in London.

Mr. Della Vedova earned both an LL.B. and a B.Com. in finance from the University of New South Wales and a G.D.L.P. from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. He also was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Sydney.

Alexandre is co-CIO and runs the Portfolio Management and Quantitative Research activities, alongside Tristan Perret. He joined Ossiam in May 2018 from Barclays Investment bank, where he was a Managing Director responsible for Global Investment Strategy Trading since 2009. He worked previously with Merrill Lynch International as Head of Fund Linked Derivatives Trading for 5 years and Societe Generale Asset Management for 3 years.

Alexandre graduated from Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace-Supaero in 2001 and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the Toulouse School of Economics.

Daniel Ung is the Head of Quantitative Research and Analysis, ETF Model Portfolio Solutions at SPDR EMEA & APAC, the ETF arm of State Street Global Advisors. In this role, he is responsible for providing research on asset allocation using ETFs as well as analysis on how ETFs can be implemented in investment portfolios. Prior to this, he was a senior SPDR ETF Strategist and was in charge of conducting product research and analysis of SPDR ETFs, with a particular focus on smart beta, as well as developing market outlooks, investment themes, and portfolio implementation ideas to help clients achieve their objectives.

Before joining State Street Global Advisors, Daniel was a Director of Global Research and Design at S&P Dow Jones Indices where he led investment research and product index development across different asset classes. Daniel also worked in the Structured Products Group at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management and the Commodities Investor Derivatives Group at BNP Paribas Fortis Bank.

Outside of his work responsibilities, Daniel was a guest lecturer to Executive MBA students at the Imperial College Business School. He also published extensively in industry-leading journals, such as the Institutional Investor Journals, and is an associate editor of the Journal of Index Investing. In addition, he holds a master's degree at the Ecole Supérieur de Commerce de Paris (ESCP Europe) and is a CFA, CAIA and FRM charterholder.
